Essex style fuel primer is positively leak-proof. It’s exceptional priming ability has made it popular with manufacturers of general aviation aircraft. Has 1/8” internal pipe thread inlet and outlet ports, takes AN816-3D fitting for aluminium pipe or hose with end fittings. 3-7/8” long, weight 2.3 oz.
ACS primer that used to be manufactured by Gerdes Products and is suitable for home builds. This primer has an all aluminium body, female outlets that will take either AN816-2D or AN816-3D. 4 1/2” long, weight 3.5 ozs.

12 volt electric solenoid primer valve which is an ideal electric engine primer for uncertified aircraft. These normally closed two way valves are direct acting and have only two moving parts, a viton plunger and stainless steel spring. Can be installed in any position and are easy to inspect, weight 5 ozs. Number “1” port is out and “2” port is in.
