Curtis drain valves, a slight twist opens valve, no locking wire needed in closed position.
These valves have, on rare occasions, been left open when fitted to a fuel gascolator. The drawing shows a simple modification designed by C.S.E. Aviation which overcomes this problem by filing off the shaded area.
