This cap is machined from 6061 aluminium, it is available vented or unvented. The vented cap uses a one way spring loaded ball valve, which allows air to enter the tank but stops fuel from leaking out of the tank. The cap is sealed by an easily replaceable viton “O” ring. The bottom of the cap is secured to the ring by a safety chain. The mounting ring may be welded, riveted, bolted or moulded to the tank.
