XMP Metalguard
MetalGuard Ultra offers the highest standards of metal protection. The formulation has been fully proven by the defence and aerospace industries and is effective on all kinds of components and tools. MetalGuard Ultra is easy to apply by either brush, spray or dipping and once the solvent has evaporated a microscopically thin layer (approx. 2 μm) will protect for up to two years.
MetalGuard Ultra protects all ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys whether bare or plated. It is especially effective in preventing electrolytic corrosion in mixed metal electrical connections. The soft film is not damaged by acid fingers and is self repairing when scuffed, though easy to remove if necessary. It is harmless to most plastics, rubbers and paints and it is also silicone free.
MetalGuard Ultra penetrates the smallest nooks and crannies, and unlike waxy treatments, does not attract dust and debris, and because of its powerful water-displacing characteristics, it can be applied directly on to wet surfaces.
