When removing and reinstalling the spark plug, the terminal lead will leave bits of aluminum on the threads that builds up over time. This galling, and any other buildup, must be removed from the end of the spark plug to ensure optimum electrical connectivity. This tool makes the process of cleaning the lead thread a simple and easy operation. Just run the thread chaser over the threads a couple of times and they will be restored to like new condition. It will clean the threads of both 5/8-24 and 3/4-16 spark plug electrical leads. Made of high speed steel in the USA
Note: For use on spark plug terminal (lead) threads only. Do not use on spark plug port threads.
